Our Mission and Our People....

"The mission of Fraternity House, Inc. is to provide warm and caring homes where men and women disabled by HIV / AIDS can receive comprehensive care and supportive services in order to rebuild their health and return to independent living, or where they can spend their last days in comfort and dignity."

The People Behind Fraternity House

For many years, Fraternity House, Inc. has successfully developed and administered very effective AIDS housing, care and supportive service programs, and we continuously monitor, evaluate and enhance our programs to meet the changing needs of the men and women disabled by AIDS in our care. Our programs are supported by a highly competent administrative and managerial staff, and a dedicated team of compassionate and competent caregivers for each home.

Executive Director: Marie Jones-Kirk was recently named the new Executive Director of Fraternity House, succeeding Molly Henry, who resigned after 7 years to spend more time with her family, and to give Marie the opportunity to strengthen Fraternity House initiatives for its two facilities. Patrick Anderson, the president of Fraternity House Inc., said in a statement: "I cannot overstate the contribution that Molly has made to our organization, She has fought tenaciously for us at times when our very survival was at stake and has kept us going while similar organizations have faltered and closed."

Marie is responsible for supervising the House Managers and other key staff members, and reports to the Board of Directors. She has been a valuable volunteer serving as Development Manager for Fraternity House for years and is intimately experienced in its operations. Marie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications-Public Relations, and has a background in marketing, information technology and elder care. She volunteered with AIDS Service Foundation and AIDS Walk Orange County for over ten years before moving to the San Diego area five years ago. Link here to learn more in a local news report.
